It’s time to start planning Fall co-op. Once again, this is a cooperative venture for the sake of the kids that meets for 10 weeks on Mondays between 1 and 3 pm at Bethel Grove Bible Church. We offer the classes YOU offer to teach!
(Look all the way to the bottom of this email for classes parents want someone to teach.)
We’re using a spreadsheet that we can all access in order to see which age groups have gaps and whether everyone or no one has the same topic concept as you.
Link to Google Drive Document
Below you will find a link to a Google Doc. When you click the link it will take you to a spreadsheet showing the different age groups and some classes already listed. We’ve estimated the number of total classes we’ll need for each age range and they are listed accordingly. For example, we need to have at least 6 3rd -5th grade classes to accommodate that age group. There are a few extra spaces on the bottom to use if all the ones in your target age group are filled
So, if you’re planning on teaching a class, please add the title/brief description, your name, and any known co-teachers or helpers to the appropriate age group. We are trying to standardize the age groupings to make the whole process run more smoothly and make sure we don’t have gaps for different age groups. For example, if you have a class that targets 4th graders, please choose 3-5. If you think it would also be great for 2nd or 6th graders, you can ADD those, but please don’t subtract 3rd graders or 5th graders. Also, if you are offering multiple classes, but plan on teaching one or two, please make that clear and don’t fill up all the slots (and thanks for your flexibility).
In addition to putting the summary information on our spreadsheet, we need you also to email Ellen Lantz (EllenL (at)twcny(dot)rr(dot)com) with the following information by July 27, please!
- -Title of Class
- -Grade Range
- -Teacher (and any known co-teachers, helpers)
- -Class size, with a min and max
- -Special needs for space or time
